Samara Otium

Samara Otium is a 48-metre luxury phinisi launching in 2026 as the flagship of the Samara fleet — her name drawn from the Latin for leisure, and every detail aboard shaped around that idea of unhurried time at sea. Built to traditional Indonesian phinisi lines and finished with a quiet, contemporary elegance, she carries up to twelve guests across six cabins: a panoramic Owner’s Suite with its own private terrace, a light-filled Queen Suite, and the Sand and Coral staterooms, each dressed in warm teak, hand-laid chevron panelling and soft natural tones. A crew of eight — including a cruise host, two private chefs and a dedicated dive guide — looks after no more than twelve guests. Days move between a shaded indoor–outdoor lounge, expansive teak sun decks, a well-stocked bar and an onboard spa, with chef-curated dining and an elevated wine service; solar power and modern battery systems let her lie quietly and cleanly at anchor. Otium cruises Indonesia’s finest waters — Komodo National Park from March to September and Raja Ampat from October — with expeditions reaching the Banda Spice Islands, Alor and Sumbawa, for diving, snorkelling and island exploration in complete privacy.
