The vessel
Bhavana launched in 2025, the newest phinisi in our fleet and one of the few with a design brief worth quoting. Her name is Sanskrit for the cultivation of the mind, and she was built as a passion project: fifty metres of heritage phinisi construction, ten and a third metres in the beam, finished in a Peranakan design language rather than the teak-and-rattan default.
Fourteen guests in seven ensuite cabins, with a crew of twelve that includes a cruise director, a dive instructor and a masseuse — three roles that tell you what her week is shaped around.
She is, first, a divers’ boat. The platform is fully equipped, nitrox is aboard, and diving is unlimited daily with a divemaster, included rather than counted. Families with older children work well on her for the same reason: the diving is there every day for whoever wants it, and the gym, kayaks, paddleboards, wakeboard and waterski are there for whoever does not.
Her range is the widest in the fleet: Komodo, Raja Ampat, the Banda Spice Islands, the Alor Archipelago, Sumbawa, Bali and the Nusa Islands.

How do I confirm a charter?
Send your dates and the brief — we hold them while the captain confirms the route. No card is taken at this stage. A signed charter agreement and a deposit — set by each vessel and confirmed in your proposal — confirm the booking; the balance is due before embarkation, per your charter agreement.

Can the itinerary be changed?
Yes. The route is a starting point — the captain runs the final call based on weather, your party's appetite, and what the season is doing. Most guests change something on day three.
How big should our party be?
Bhavana carries up to 14 guests across 7 cabins. Smaller parties get more space; larger ones still get a private charter.
