The vessel
Kayra takes eight guests in four cabins and is chartered privately only — there is no cabin-by-cabin option. For a single family or one group of friends, that is the appeal: nobody else’s schedule, nobody else at breakfast.
From USD 7,000 a night for the whole boat. For eight guests that works out at USD 875 a head a night, crew, meals and the boat included — the kind of arithmetic worth doing before comparing her to a hotel.
Eight guests on a boat of her size means space that larger charters do not have: the sun deck is not shared with another party, and the dive deck is never busy. Her four cabins are ensuite, and she carries diving equipment, snorkelling gear, paddleboards and kayaks, with an Indonesian chef aboard.
Her season is Komodo’s: her operator sails the Komodo region from April to October — the national park, Sumbawa, and Bali and Nusa Penida — trading fixed schedules for dawn dives, hidden bays and pink-sand beaches reached before anyone else is awake. On a boat this size the itinerary genuinely bends: a morning that turns out well can become a day.

Charter questions
How do I confirm a charter?
Send your dates and the brief — we hold them while the captain confirms the route. No card is taken at this stage. A signed charter agreement and a deposit — set by each vessel and confirmed in your proposal — confirm the booking; the balance is due before embarkation, per your charter agreement.
What is not included?
Fuel surcharge for the actual passage, port fees, food and beverage, marina dues, ground transfers, and travel insurance. We quote APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) up front so there are no surprises.
Can the itinerary be changed?
Yes. The route is a starting point — the captain runs the final call based on weather, your party's appetite, and what the season is doing. Most guests change something on day three.
How big should our party be?
Kayra carries up to 8 guests across 4 cabins. Smaller parties get more space; larger ones still get a private charter.
