Jinggo Janggo is a 22m phinisi with 2 cabins — small-group Indonesian expeditions.
Jinggo Janggo was built at Bonerate, in South Sulawesi, in 2001, and renovated in 2007 and again in 2023. She is a two-masted boat of 22 metres, 4.5 metres wide with a draught of 1.8 metres, and her 75 hp Mitsubishi diesel gives her five to six knots. Power comes from a 5 kW generator and 800 W of solar panels, and her tender is a 5.5-metre boat with a 40 hp outboard.
Her operator stresses her simplicity: two double cabins, one with an extra single bed, share a bathroom, for up to five guests – four adults and a child, or five adults. She also has a sun deck, a lounge on the middle deck for rest between activities, a dining area with a 360-degree view and a foredeck set aside for divers. The chef cooks Indonesian dishes such as nasi goreng, sate ayam and ikan bakar alongside international food.
She is sold only as a private charter and sails only in Komodo National Park, from Labuan Bajo; her operator gives the season as April to December, with January and February generally closed. The 2026 rate is USD 1,950 a night (2027: USD 1,850 off-peak, USD 2,190 peak), including meals, soft drinks, return airport transfers, an English-speaking cruise director and snorkelling gear. Diving, usually two dives a day with a PADI instructor aboard, costs USD 150 per diver plus equipment hire, and park fees and alcohol are also extra.
