Fenides is a 10-guest phinisi with 5 cabins — boutique luxury Indonesian charters.
Fenides was designed and engineered by Michael Schnadhorst and built by Kammisi (Bonto) with the Konjo boatbuilders of Ara; her operator says the build took nearly three years, and she first sailed in 2019. She is a gaff-rigged schooner on a displacement hull of ironwood and teak, 41 metres overall and 31 metres on deck, with a 7.7-metre beam and a two-metre draught. A 405 hp Yanmar gives her nine knots at cruising speed.
Her five en-suite cabins are a 20 m² master with a double bed and a day bed and two 12 m² twins on the lower deck, and two 12 m² doubles on the upper deck. She sleeps ten, with a stated maximum of eleven, and her 2023 brochure lists a crew of 13. She is run as a dive liveaboard, with a Bauer compressor and nitrox, two 50 hp RIB tenders with console steering and a climate-controlled camera room with six desks. Trips offer three day dives daily, plus an optional night dive from day two to day eight.
Lunch is served à la carte at the front-deck table, and there are two shaded sundecks, a salon and a bar with Bose sound; kayaks, paddleboards and a wakeboard come out between dives, and massage is offered. Her 2023–24 calendar put her in Raja Ampat from November to February, around Halmahera at the turn of the year, in Komodo from late March to early October and in the Banda Sea from Ambon in October. She is sold as a full charter or cabin by cabin, and her operator also runs private surf charters to Sumbawa, Sumba and Halmahera.
This is the rate we hold on file for her. Your final price depends on your dates, route and length of charter, and is confirmed in writing before any payment.
A crew who run the season, not the season's first charter. They know the bays you haven't asked about yet.
No printed card. Tell the chef one thing you love and one thing you hate. The rest is a kitchen, not a kitchen of compromise.
The famous sites are famous for a reason. The quiet ones are why you charter privately. We plan for both.
Charters are not booked through an app. Your concierge holds the dates, the captain confirms the route, and we send the file.
Fenides sails 3 distinct cruising grounds across the year. Each charter follows one ground, chosen by season — you don't cover them all in a single voyage.
Availability is confirmed personally with the captain. Share the dates you have in mind and your concierge replies — usually within a few hours, day or night.
We never show a date as free until the captain confirms it.
Our concierge AI drafts itineraries against the live fleet — compare Fenides with similar vessels, score the season, or sketch a week day-by-day. The concierge confirms anything you tentatively pin in under 24 hours.
Send your dates and the brief — we hold them while the captain confirms the route. No card is taken at this stage. A signed charter agreement and a deposit — set by each vessel and confirmed in your proposal — confirm the booking; the balance is due before embarkation, per your charter agreement.
Fuel surcharge for the actual passage, port fees, food and beverage, marina dues, ground transfers, and travel insurance. We quote APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) up front so there are no surprises.
Yes. The route is a starting point — the captain runs the final call based on weather, your party's appetite, and what the season is doing. Most guests change something on day three.
Fenides carries up to 10 guests across 5 cabins. Smaller parties get more space; larger ones still get a private charter.
Tell us the dates, the party and the brief — our desk drafts a route and the captain confirms. Answered within a few hours during Bali office hours — in English or Bahasa. No charge until you confirm.
