The vessel
Amandira is Aman’s own phinisi — fifty-two metres, hand-built, ten guests in five cabins. What the name means ashore, it means at sea.
What it means first is the ratio. Ten guests on a fifty-two-metre boat is half what a hull that size can carry; the space that would have been two more cabins is deck, saloon and shade instead. Five cabins for ten guests means five couples, or a family that does not have to draw lots for the good room.
She cruises Komodo, the Banda Sea and Raja Ampat, and the days are unhurried by design: diving and snorkelling from the boat, a private chef, long stretches at anchor rather than a route to complete. Wellness and barefoot adventure is Aman’s phrase for it, and on a boat carrying ten it is a description rather than a claim.
Which of those three waters you sail decides when you travel, not the other way around. Komodo is strong from April to October and many boats work it year-round; Raja Ampat runs October to April and is usually a ten- to fourteen-night voyage out of Sorong; the Banda Sea opens only twice a year, in October–November and again in April–May. A boat of her standing is booked a long way ahead for those two Banda windows in particular.

Charter questions
How do I confirm a charter?
Send your dates and the brief — we hold them while the captain confirms the route. No card is taken at this stage. A signed charter agreement and a deposit — set by each vessel and confirmed in your proposal — confirm the booking; the balance is due before embarkation, per your charter agreement.
What is not included?
Fuel surcharge for the actual passage, port fees, food and beverage, marina dues, ground transfers, and travel insurance. We quote APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) up front so there are no surprises.
Can the itinerary be changed?
Yes. The route is a starting point — the captain runs the final call based on weather, your party's appetite, and what the season is doing. Most guests change something on day three.
How big should our party be?
Amandira carries up to 10 guests across 5 cabins. Smaller parties get more space; larger ones still get a private charter.
