Jakaré was built in South Sulawesi between 2015 and 2017 by the family of HJ Puga and the boatbuilders of Tanah Beru, from timber dried for more than a year and fastened with wooden pegs rather than nails. She is 35 metres long and 7.5 metres wide, with two masts, up to 500 square metres of sail, a 240-hp Yuchai engine, a watermaker and solar panels. She has no deckhouse of cabins, which leaves room on deck for a solarium, a yoga area, a dive deck forward and a shaded dining room and lounge aft.

Five air-conditioned cabins with their own bathrooms take up to twelve guests: two standard cabins forward with a 120 cm and an 85 cm bed, two premium cabins amidships with a 140 cm double and a single, and Dewi Sri aft, with a 150 cm double and its own wooden deck giving straight onto the water. The dive centre on board is led by a French- and English-speaking instructor, usually runs three dives a day and favours early dives, even before breakfast, with two Bauer compressors, 30 aluminium tanks including children’s sizes, nitrox, and support for technical and rebreather divers.

She is sold both as a private charter and by the cabin on shared voyages. Her 2026 rates put a private charter at USD 4,900 a night in Komodo and USD 5,500 in Raja Ampat for up to ten guests, with two more at USD 250 each a night; meals, soft drinks, transfers, kayaks, paddleboard and wakeboard are included, with up to three dives a day on diving cruises, while nitrox, rental gear, park fees and alcohol are extra. The 2026–27 calendar puts her in Raja Ampat from November to April, around Komodo and Sumbawa between June and September, and in Ambon and Banda in October.
