The vessel
Manta Mae is a traditional two-masted phinisi — instantly recognisable under her deep maroon sails — running crewed expeditions through Komodo, the Banda Spice Islands and Raja Ampat. Four cabins accommodate ten guests, from a warm hardwood master to twin cabins, all finished in teak with mother-of-pearl and blue-stone detailing, alongside a characterful saloon and bar. Her teak sun decks carry shaded day beds and an alfresco dining table, and she is rigged for the water — a dive tender, tanks and equipment make her a natural base for diving and snorkelling between island hikes and beach landings.

How do I confirm a charter?
Send your dates and the brief — we hold them while the captain confirms the route. No card is taken at this stage. A signed charter agreement and a deposit — set by each vessel and confirmed in your proposal — confirm the booking; the balance is due before embarkation, per your charter agreement.
What is not included?
Fuel surcharge for the actual passage, port fees, food and beverage, marina dues, ground transfers, and travel insurance. We quote APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) up front so there are no surprises.
Can the itinerary be changed?
Yes. The route is a starting point — the captain runs the final call based on weather, your party's appetite, and what the season is doing. Most guests change something on day three.
How big should our party be?
