Anne Bonny is named after the Irishwoman who sailed the Caribbean as a pirate alongside Calico Jack Rackham in the early 1700s, and she is the newer sister of her operator’s yacht Calico Jack. Bugis boatbuilders made her by hand on the beaches of Sulawesi, working with European yacht designers, and she was launched in 2015. She is 30 metres overall on a 23-metre deck, 6.5 metres in the beam, with a draught of 2.5 metres and 300 m² of sail.

Her three cabins are arranged for families: the master has a double bed and two bunks, and each of the two double cabins adds a bunk to its double bed, all air-conditioned and en suite. She takes six adults comfortably and nine guests at most, with a crew of ten that typically includes a combined cruise director and dive instructor. The chef cooks Asian and international food, from buffet breakfasts to three-course dinners, and each voyage includes a bonfire-lit barbecue on a beach.

She is fitted out as a dive yacht, with two Bauer compressors, Nitrox, a camera station and two fast tenders, no more than four divers to a guide and three dives a day plus optional night dives; kayaks and paddleboards are aboard too. She is sold as a private charter only, from two nights in Komodo and five in Raja Ampat, and her own site describes a once-a-year late-October crossing of the Banda Sea from Ambon through Banda Neira to Misool and central Raja Ampat.
